Reid is a dedicated trial lawyer who has lived in Athens for nearly 20 years. Over the course of his career, he has tried more than 50 jury trials to verdict. Reid’s focus is on personal injury and business litigation. He prides himself on listening to his clients and vigorously and meticulously representing their interests.

Reid graduated from the Georgia State University College of Law, cum laude, in 2012. During law school, Reid served on the Moot Court Executive Board, was a Pupil of the Bleckley Inn of Court, and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for Professor Ellen Taylor. Reid’s Moot Court team was a semi-finalist at the Inter-American Sustainable Development Law Moot Court Competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prior to law school, Reid attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate and master’s degrees, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2005 and a Master of Historic Preservation in 2009.

For nearly 6 years, Reid has been a prosecutor, working to serve the community and fighting for victims of crime. He has tried before a jury all types of criminal cases: DUIs, felony drug cases, and murder. Reid’s experience also includes civil litigation including personal injury, business and commercial, construction, and estate matters.

Reid lives in Athens with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys running, mountain biking, and reading. He currently serves on the Executive Board of Historic Athens and as a mentor for the Clarke County Mentor Program.
